At last the car some see as the most beautiful in the world now has performance to match its looks.
Two years of development and the exclusive Vantage badge have given us a mighty 420bhp V12 powerplant (a first for Aston Martin) with state of the art engine management and traction control systems. Handling, although greatly improved over the standard DB7, still doesn't hit the spot over twisty roads but nevertheless offers comfortable GT cruising.
Couple that with incredible stopping power from the cross drilled Brembos, a 7000rpm limit and even a racing style push-button start and you have a superb performance car come grand tourer at a reasonable price - another first for Aston!
For those wanting something more exclusive (and 15bhp more powerful) Aston offers the DB7 GT with bigger brakes and a stiffer chassis from 2003.
