  Ferrari F50  (1996 - 1997)

Profile

The term 'Race car for the road' is an often overused metaphor, but when it comes to the Ferrari F50 its spot on!

Its 5 litre engine is basically a detuned Formula One unit from the early 90s and attaches, racing style, directly to the back of the Carbon Fibre chassis for incredible handling and poise. The race car theme continues with the use of weight saving materials for many of the cars components including the chassis, brake callipers and Magnesium wheels.

However, for all its track prowess and exclusivity, the visually challenged F50 has not proved the most popular super-Ferrari. That honour goes to it's predecessor, the legendary F40.
