  Lamborghini Countach QV  (1985 - 1988)

Profile

In response to the challenge thrown down by Ferrari's new Testarossa, Lamborghini reclaimed the title of 'fastest car in the world' with it's enhanced Countach QV.

The QV, or 'Quattrovalve' had grown to over 5 litres and with the adoption of 4 valves per cylinder achieved a mighty 455bhp, a significant 80bhp increase (although US spec cars had to be content with 'only' 420!). This most aggressive car in the Countach line was differentiated from the 'S' by brake cooling skirt slats and a prominent power hump atop the engine bay.

This was the last of the classic Countach shapes before the unpopular restyling of the Anniversary edition, 'universally' adapted to be acceptable in all countries.
