Profile |
|
The SV or 'Sport Veloce' was designed to be a more simplified Diablo, this being reflected in the price, offering a considerable saving over the SE30 and VT.
It was conceived with privateer racing in mind and bore the trademarks of a track car, engine cooling ducts, a large rear wing and extremely powerful 14 inch cross drilled brakes. Gearing was revised to give even better acceleration but dropping the top speed to 'only' 183mph. However, 1999 saw another power increase to 530bhp which pushed it back up to the 205mph mark. This model can be distinguished by its fixed headlamps replacing the pop up units of the previous model.
