Profile |

The Jalpa succeeded the Urraco as the new 'baby' Lamborghini in 1983. A more manageable prospect than it's big brother the Countach, the Jalpa still suffered from poor visibility and an intrusive, albeit intoxicating, engine note.
Less than 200 of this attractive targa were made and despite its labelling as the baby Lamborghini it was certainly a performance car in it's own right with true 150mph performance and acceleration to 60mph in the sub 6sec bracket. Following the Jalpa's departure in 1989, Lamborghini became a one model manufacturer and remained so until the arrival of the Gallardo 16 years later!
