2020 sees the Elva speedster join McLaren's exclusive 'Ultimate Series' cars, prepared to do battle with the Ferrari Monza, Aston Martin V12 Speedster and Bentley's Bacalar.
Inspired by open-top race cars of the 1960s, the Elva is not just for posers, it is a genuine high performance drivers car. The 804hp twin-turbo V8 will out accelerate even the hardcore Senna. McLaren even claim the Elva to be their lightest supercar ever!
Despite the lack of a windscreen (and a roof!), McLaren's Active Air Management System ensures that occupants are spared the indignity of wearing a helmet. Four exhaust outlets ensure this McLaren will sound as good as it looks.
Under 150 will be built (worryingly down from the originally stated 399), at £1.4m a pop. It may be beaten on looks by the Monza, but it has the Ferrari's number when it comes to performance.
