The new VTG twin-turbo flat 6 produces a substantial 650hp, transmitted to all four wheels through Porsche's excellent 8-speed PDK gearbox. Acceleration is stunning, with 0-60mph in around 2.5 seconds and a 10 sec quarter mile. Coupled with it's prodigious grip, PCCB braking and cornering ability, this is surely the fastest a-b supercar in the real world.
Aero is enhanced over previous Turbos, with fully adjustable splitters and rear wing (which can also act as an air brake). Still looks too much like a 992 Carrera for our liking though.
Priced from £156k in the UK, this Porsche is real value for money compared to similarly quick machinery from Lamborghini, Ferrari and McLaren, and trumps them all for practicality, visibility and reliability. In fact the 992 Turbo S appears to be the perfect supercar. It's only the so-so looks and lack of feeling truly 'special' that stop it from taking that crown.
