Profile |
|
The superb Mark IV Scorpion transforms Grinnall from a niche kit car manufacturer into a fully fledged track day specialist - this one even has four wheels!
Rocket ship acceleration is provided by Audi's 1.8 litre Turbo engine tuned to over 360bhp, coupled with the Scorpion's lightweight body, this makes for a startling 540bhp/ton. So, performance is mighty but handling is not quite up to scratch, due mainly to the old fashioned trailing arm rear suspension.
The car has an exposed feel, along the lines of the Ariel Atom, however a roof is an option for those with a nervous disposition!
