Profile |
|
The 2022 Artura represents McLaren's first venture into the hybrid supercar market.
McLaren's venerable V8 has been replaced by a hybrid V6, withan impressive 675hp transmitted through McLaren's 8-speed dual-clutch 'SSG' gearbox. Despite the loss of two cylinders, the Artura is a performance match for McLaren's previous rabid supercars like the 600LT.
Aficianados will be pleased that the Atura retains hydraulic steering, despite the current trend towards electric. Reliability, the bane of many a McLaren customer, is partly addressed with the introduction of a 5-year warranty.
The Artura is a replacement for the popular 570S, but it appears McLaren have retained the looks and driver appeal of its predecessor, while moving forward into the modern electric era.
