Profile

American startup RAESR joined the mega-power EV hypercar brigade in 2018 with their extraordinary Tachyon Speed concept.

Six electric motors provide the Tachyon with upwards of 1250hp, and a staggering (claimed) 3650 ft/lbs of torque. A sub-10 sec quarter mile and 240mph top speed are also claimed by the Californian company.

The striking 40 inch tall carbon fibre/kevlar bodywork houses a race car style single front seat under it's jet fighter canopy. A second tandem seat is situated close behind.

The Tachyon is apparently available for purchase, priced at between $750k and $1.5m, dependent on spec. The jury is still out on whether this striking electric concept will ever actually see production.
