Profile |
|
Gordon Murray's T50, the spiritual successor to the F1, made it's public debut in 2021.
Bespoke Cosworth V12 sounds sublime when approaching the staggering 12000 rpm redline through the Inconel exhaust. Output of 654bhp may not sound huge by today's standards, but when it only has to move an impressive 986kg kerb weight, it is plenty fast enough. Up to 700hp is actually available for short boosts.
Styling has a flavour of the F1 about it, particularly in the famous 3-abreast seaing layout, but now with the added stand-out feature of a rear mounted fan. The unique ground-effect Fan Interactive Aero System (FIAS), sucks the T50 into the ground to produce phenomenal downforce.
All this tech comes at cost though. £2.4m + taxes to be precise. Despite this, the planned run of 100 have (of course) already been sold to wealthy enthusiasts.
