The 2015 Atlantic Concept was due to become Bugatti's 'entry level' coupe in a three model line up.
Featuring a carbon-fibre chassis, the Atlantic is powered by a front-engined VW group 4-litre V8, in contrast to the mid-engined Veyron and Chiron. There was also talk of supplementary electric power, with input from Porsche's Mission-e, making the Atlantic a true hybrid.
The long, flowing lines are more reminiscent of 1930s Bugatti's than the aggressive stance of the Chiron. Butterfly doors are in keeping with the Concept's glamorous intent. Inside is equally glamorous, with a sumptuous saddle leather interior and fully trimmed boot area.
Ultimately, the Atlantic Concept was not to be, following the VW Group 'Dieselgate' scandal. It was stored out of public gaze until 2020, when Bugatti showed the world what they had missed!
