Italian stylists Kimera Automobili joined the ever growing list of expensive restomod manufacturers with the 2021 introduction of the EVO37.
A gorgeous homage to Lancia's 037 Group B rally car, the EVO37 is based on the Beta Montecarlo. With a 6-speed manual and rear wheel drive, there's an intentionally old-school driving experience. The supercharged and turbocharged 2-litre engine produces a whopping 500hp (well up on the 200hp of the road going original). Acceleration will be brutal, thanks to a sub 1000kg kerb weight.
The 037 is fashioned from carbon-fibre over a tubular steel chassis. The design is clearly inspired by the original's gorgeous Pininfarina bodywork, including it's gargantuan signature rear wing. The interior is a nice place to be, with a balance of new technology and old school charm.
Expensive at well over £400k (but no more so than others of its ilk), a limited run of just 37 will be built.
