The radical Vehicle Design Force Vector W8 was intended to set new standards in the world of performance cars.

The Vector first saw light as the W2 of 1980. After startup problems the Vector returned in 1990 as the W8. The space age supercar made extensive use of exotic materials such as Kevlar and strengthened plastics normally only to be found in the aeronautics industry. The aircraft similarities continued into the 'cockpit' with advanced digital instrumentation modelled on those found in an F-15 fighter.

Power was provided by a twin Turbocharged Chevrolet 5.7L V8 boasting no less than 634bhp and a massive 620lbft or torque. Performance was astronomical with a standing quarter in a little over 11sec and a claimed 230mph.
