Profile |
|
2023 sees the latest in Lotus' reinvention as a sporting electric vehicle manufacturer in the form of the impressive Eletre SUV.
Designed at the Lotus Technology Creative Centre in the UK, the flagship R version of the Eletre boasts 900hp and a startling 0-60mph of just 2.9 seconds from it's dual-motor electric setup. The 112kWh battery is good for around 370 miles range.
Riding on huge 22 inch alloys, the Eletre is quite a large SUV, but looks every bit the modern SUV, and features every electronic and mechanical gadget you can possibly think of. There's even a LIDAR system for autonomous driving.
The launch 'R' model will set you back around £120k, followed later in the year by the lower powered base and 'S' models from around £90k. Amazing value considering the prices of it's (slower) petrol engines rivals like the Urus and Cayenne.
