Created in 1993, during the first Bugatti revival under Romano Artioli, the EB112 was their 4-door saloon offering meant to accompany the EB110 hypercar.
Without the EB110's quad turbo setup, the EB112 had to make do with a naturally aspirated six litre V12 powerplant, still pushing out a respectible 450hp though. A 6-speed manual transmitted power to all four wheels. Top speed was an impressive 300 kmh and 0-100kmh in around 4 seconds.
Despite ItalDesign's input, styling was clearly not the EB112's strong point. The bulbous Aluminium bodywork afforded a generously sized interior, but had none of the style of Bugatti's of old.
Only one EB112 was originally produced, with a further two constructed by the Monaco Racing Team from unused parts following Bugatti's 1995 bankruptcy. One of these sold for approx £2m in 2016.
