2017 saw gearbox specialist Ikeya Formula create their own raod legal concept car in the form of the catchy named IF-02RDS.
The concept is powered by a 2-litre Honda engine turbocharged to around 350hp, coupled to the company's own 'seamless shift' 5-speed sequential gearbox. No performance figures, but with just over 1150Kg to move, it will be rapid.
The aggressive Ultima-like bodywork is pure race car with it's cooling slats, roof scoop and huge rear wing. More at home as a track day toy than on the public roads, but stunning nonetheless.
Inside, the two seater is functionally sparse, but does include a high-tech digital instrument display.
Although homologated for Japanese road use, there has sadly been no sign of a full production version.
