2023 sees Porsche launch the latest 992 generation GT3 RS, hoping to take it's pre-eminent place as the world's greatest track day car.
Power is up (but only slightly) to 525hp, but it's the screaming 9000rpm red line that impresses. Porsche quote 0-60mph in 3 seconds flat, but expect real world figures to be faster. It's not much lighter than the GT3 too, with almost identical power to weight ratios. However, it's the aero where the RS excels, with up to 860kg of downforce (more than a GT3 Cup car) contributing to the super impressive sub 6m:50s Nurburgring lap time.
This GT3 RS is certainly the most aggressively styled yet, with pronounded aero and simply enormous adjustable rear wing. There's also no longer a front boot, as it is now filled with Porsche's uprated cooling system.
The 992 GT3 was already extremely hardcore for a road car, but the £193k RS takes it 2 steps further. Its the most track biased 911 to date.
