Profile

Debuting at the 2023 Goodwood Festival of Speed, the EV Seven Concept could lead the way to Caterham's first ever electric production car.

With an immersion-cooled 54 KWh battery, powered by engineering partner Swindon Powertrain’s E Axle motor, the EV Seven produces around 240hp for a 4 second 0-60mph sprint.

The EV Seven looks just like any other petrol powered Caterham, with the same no-frills track oriented appearance. Target weight is just 700kg. This will be quite an achievement for any battery powered car.

Created as a technology showcase, Caterham have yet to decide whether to put the EV Seven into production, depending on potential customer reactions to the concept.
