Aston Martin have finally bought the ageing DB series up to date with the 2023 introduction of the DB12.
Despite the name, the DB12 is not powered by a V12, but rather a Mercedes sourced V8. However, power is considerably up from the DB11 at 671bhp. This allows for a 0-60mph blast in just 3.5 seconds and a 200mph+ max.
Stiffer suspension makes for much improved handling over the DB11 without sacrificing everyday ride quality. Aston refer to it as a 'Super Tourer', bridging the gap between GT and supercar.
It is certainly a beautiful car to behold, but perhaps not a great leap forward from the DBS. Its in the interior where the DB12 has been transformed, with state of the art touchscreen digital displays and technological features that are finally a match for it's peers.
Deliveries start late 2023 from around £185k in the UK. It is certainly a desirable prospect, melding the luxury of a Bentley with the sportiness of the 911 or Roma.
