Japanese engineering company AIM have produced the EV Sport 01, a RWD electric concept sports car, as a showcase for their electric motors.
Powered by twin electric motors to the rear wheels, the EV Sport creates around 483bhp and 531 ft/lbs of torque. AIM shunned the usual 4WD setup on electric cars, providing a more sports, drivers car character. It's even practical, with a decent 81 kWh battery capacity.
The diminutive bodywork (just 3.9 metres long) was designed by Shiro Nakamura, the man behind the legendary Nissan GTR, and has a modern take on a retro style.
Although initially a concept, AIM have stated that the EV Sport may yet make limited production. The prototype is fully functional, having completed the hill climb at the 2023 Goodwood Festival of Speed.
