Profile |
|
Californian tuners Gunther Werks have reimagined the Porsche 993 into a modern day, lightweight track monster.
The 4-litre twin-turbo engine is courtesy of Rothsport Racing and boasts 600bhp, rising to 700bhp in the switchable track mode. Drive is via the rear wheels through a manual 6-speed Getrag gearbox.
The active coilover suspension with widened track brings track levels of grip, with awesome Brembo braking (or optional Carbon Discs) all round.
The carbon-fibre bodywork itself saves over 500 lbs from the weight of the original 911, aesthetically and aerodynamically enhanced by the optional 'duck tail' rear spoiler. Carbon wheels are another (expensive) option.
The retro styled interior has all the modern tech you'll need, swathed in a plethora of carbon fibre trim, but can also be specified in 'comfort' spec.
Just 75 examples will be built from 2023, joining the ever increasing 911 restomod market, currently dominated by Singer. No word on price, but expect well over the £500k mark.
