Porsche added their take on the super niche off-road supercar market with the 911 Dakar.
Based on the 992 GTS, the Dakar has all the performance of a modern 480hp supercar, with the added bonus(?) of real off-road capability. Despite the off-road hammering the Dakar will no doubt take, Porsche still offer 2 year / 20,000 mile service intervals.
Looking like a modern day 959 Paris-Dakar rally car (in the optional Heritage livery), the bodywork sits 50mm higher than a standard 911, has no rear seats, and features a protective undertray to prevent rock damage. The tyres are special deep treaded ones courtesy of Pirelli.
Despite being pricey (around £200k with spec) and in an extremely niche market, all 2500 units are already sold out! Perhaps take a look at the Huracan Sterrato if this is what you're really into.
