Profile |
|
Hyundai's N Performance Division have taken their class leading ICE hot hatches into the electric car market with the Ioniq 5N.
Weighing in at nearly 5000 lbs, the 5N isn't exactly a lightweight, but it does have the welcome bonus of 650hp instant torque dual electric motors, despatching 0-60mph in just 3.3 seconds. It even offers a 280 miles (WLTP) range. The 5N was designed as a driver's car, and fulfills that brief very well.
Inside there is a 12.3 inch touchscreen for instrumentation, media and nav, along with wireless Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™. There's loads of standard kit, with the exception of an optional panoramic roof.
The 5N retails for around £65k in the UK. Not cheap, but comparable with other high-end hot hatches from the likes of Audi and Mercedes, and unboubtedly the best electric hot hatch on the market.
