Danish bike manufacturer KTM bought us the niche GT-XR in 2023, developing a full on race car into a road legal version.
The XR is powered by Audi's renowned 2.5 litre unit (from the TT RS) reworked to 500hp, making it the world's most powerful 5-cylinder engine. Drive is to the rear wheels through a 7-speed dual-clutch box. A huge 21 gallon tank provides a range of almost 1000 km.
The carbon fibre bodywork (with carbon fibre monocoque) is both striking and sharp, looking like a full on escapee from Le Mans. The stand out feature is the electric fighter jet canopy. The steering wheel is a race car style removable item, complemented by full-carbon bucket seats.
The car can be specified in Orange, grey, white or clear carbon. You can also pick from an unlimited pallette for an extra cost.
Priced from around £315k, the first 100 special edition cars were created from 2023, with production accounted for until at least 2025.
