2024 sees the Alpine A110 R join it's base and S model siblings, offering the most race style handling and performance of the group.
Power remains the same as the 'S' at 300hp, but Carbon fibre bodywork has helped shave 75 lbs from the kerb weight, enabling a sub 3 second 0-100kmh dash. Top speed is now an impressive 177mph.
While retaining the beautiful A110 shape, the R gains track like addendums such as the boot mounted rear wing, carbon fibre buckets and racing harnesses. They've even removed one of the airbags and the rear wiew mirror in a determined drive to save further weight.
At almost £100k, the A110 R is around double the price of the base model. Unless you are a devoted Alpine fan and intend to track the car regularly, it doesn't represent good value over the already excellent base model.
There are also two limited edition versions, namely the 'Fernando Alonso' and the 'San Remo 23' variants, powered by the same engine but with cosmetic rally inspired upgrades.
