To keep up with the opposition from Tesla, Lotus and Porsche, Audi have given the 'Performance' treatment to their flagship electric hyper-GT, the RS e-tron.
There are three variants to choose from, but in the 'Performance' trim, power from the RS' twin electric motors is up by nearly 275hp to a massive 925hp. This drops the 0-60mph time to a ballistic 2.4 seconds, while top speed remains at a limited 155mph. Despite the prodigious power, maximum range is nudging the 600km mark, with DC charging to 80% in as little as 18 minutes.
At a retail price of around £170k, Audi have comfortably undercut Porsche's recently launched Taycan Turbo GT, with similar real world performance, but perhaps without the cachet of the name.
