Now with 656bhp and 800Nm from it's AMG twin-turbo V8, acceleration to 60mph has dropped slightly to 3.3sec, with top speed now breaking the magic 200mph barrier. Maybe expected a little better performance from a 150bhp power increase, but weight has also gone up by 250 lbs.
Handling and safety is improved over the outgoing Vantage with a myriad of electronic aids such as ADAS, ABS, DSC, EBD, EBA, HBA, TCPTC, AEB, FCW, ACC, TSR, LKA, LDW, RCTA, HOD, DDD and DTV (but not NFG).
Stylistically, the Vantage now has a more purposeful stance, with wider haunches and a larger DB12 style front grille surrounded by matrix LED headlights. However, it's the interior where the big changes have been made, with brand new state of the art infotainment finally bringing the Vantage back up to date.
Priced from around £170k, the Vantage now looks a legitimate alternative to the likes of Ferrari's Roma and Porsche's 911 Turbo.
