A modern day take on BMW's classic Z8, the Skytop Concept convertible was launched in 2024.
Based on BMW's M8, the Skytop is powered by the same twin-turbo V8 giving around 630hp,
The Skytop's front end is a futuristic take on the classic BMW grille flanked by narrow LED headlights. There's also a targa top with integrated roll hoop. The exterior paintwork features a complex fade from red to silver, while the interior trim has what BMW call 'brogue-style' accents, and a crystal topped gearlever.
The Skytop received it's public debut at the 2024 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, subsequently appearing at that year's Goodwood Festival of Speed.
Intended as a design study concept, the Skytop may yet see limited production in some form, depending on public reaction.
