The M4's 3-litre twin-turbo V6 is boosted to 550hp through the M xDrive four wheel drive system, dropping the 0-60mph dash to an impressive 3.3sec. The standard M Driver’s Package gives a 188mph top speed.
Weight is kept to a minimum thanks in part to carbon fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP) bodywork, while the springs and electronically controlled dampers improve handling. Sadly, the M-Carbon ceramic brakes are just an option. However, the resultant 7min 21sec lap of the Nurburging is a hugely impressive achievement.
Not too much change on the outside, but there's an enhanced 12.3-inch information display behind the steering wheel and a 14.9-inch main control display accompanying the new M Carbon bucket seats on the inside.
The CS will set you back a hefty £117k when it lauches in late 2024.
