Celebrating their 75th anniversary in 2023, Porsche launched their potential next hypercar as the stunning Mission X concept.
This fully electric hypercar has an individual motor for each wheel. Light weight design is at the forefront of the Mission X, with an anticipated 1500kg and 1500hp, for a 1:1 power to weight ratio. Porsche state that they intend the Mission X to be the fastest production car around the Nurburgring.
The stunning carbon bodywork features a glass dome cockpit with integral Le Mans style scissor doors and adaptive wings. The dirver focused interior has a yoke type steering wheel and racing seats integrated into the monocoque. A Porsche Design stopwatch is prominent on the passenger side.
The Mission X was originally expected to make production in 2027, to battle the likes of Ferrari's F80 and McLaren's W1, completing the next generation 'Holy Trinity'. However, fully electric hypercars are proving to be hard to sell, making Porsche reconsider the viability of the Mission X as a production car.
