Available as either a saloon or a Sportbrake (estate), Jaguar took the already potent XFR and beefed it up, in order to compete with rivals from BMW and Mercedes.
The 5-litre supercarged V8 produced 550hp (542bhp), with a similar increase in torque over the XFR. Despite being slightly heavier, this droped the 0-60mph to 4 seconds flat, on to a claimed 186mph (limited) max.
The bodywork was aerodynamically enhanced, now featuring a sporty boot spoiler. This, coupled with the reworked suspension and springs, created a grippier, more driver focused ride, but perhaps crashy on anything but the smoothest of surfaces.
This flagship XF commanded a hefty £15k premium over the standard XFR, coming in at around £80k. It did however have exclusivity (just 149 were built) and was good value compared to it's German peers of the time.
