Following on from the legendary F1 and P1 hypercars, McLaren launched the new W1 in 2025, celebrating 50 years since their first Formula One win.
This RWD hybrid masterpiece boasts an output of 1275ps (1258bhp) at a howling 9000rpm, hitting 200kmh in just 5.8sec on its way to a limited 217mph max.
Built around McLaren's Aerocell chassis, the lithe bodywork incorporates not only anhedral doors and ground effect aero, but also their signature 'long-tail' extending rear spolier. This helps generate over 1000kg of downforce. McLaren Carbon Ceramic Racing+ brake system stops the sub 1400kg W1 from 100kmh in just 29 metres.
The interior is all road racer, with the return of hydraulic steering for the handling purists. This doesn't mean spartan though, as the fit and finish are the highest quality coupled with state-of-the-art tech.
At around £2m, it hugely undercuts it's nemesis, the £3.1m Ferrari F80, and will also be a rarer model with 399 to be produced, compared to the 799 F80s.
