Introduced at the 1990 Geneva Motor Show, the Bertone Chevrolet Nivola concept was the Italian's take on a mid-engined Corvette.
Named in honour of the famous Italian racing driver Tazio Nuvolari, the Nivola was based upon the contemporary C4 ZR-1 Corvette, complete with its LT5 V8, but twin-turbocharged to 650hp and mid-mounted in a bespoke space-frame chassis.
The striking steel bodied Nivola was finished in bright yellow (another nod to Nuvolari) and featured a removable hardtop, changing the car from coupe to targa.
The car now resides alongside many other legendary concepts in the Bertone Volandia Museum in Italy.
