Profile |
|
The stunning TVR Griffith was first shown to the public in 1990, receiving universal acclaim from the motoring press. 80's straight lines had made way for 90's smooth curves in a beautifully crafted shape. The 4.3 litre engine, based on the Range Rover V8, pulled the lightweight Griffith up to a top speed of 160mph.
Capacity went up to a full 5 litres after the 1993 arrival of the Chimaera taking the Griffith well into supercar territory. Power was now at 340bhp with an equally impressive 350lbft of torque, enough to hit 100mph from rest in just 10 seconds. The Griffith finally bowed out in 2001 making way for new TVR stars like the Tamora and Tuscan.
