Profile |
|
The Chimaera, first shown at the 1992 Birmingham Motor Show, was intended as a more practical alternative to the total performance oriented Griffith.
The glass fibre Chimaera was almost as attractive as it's stablemate but with more compliant suspension and practical boot space (with enough room for the removable roof). Like the Griffith, 4.0L, 4.3L and from 1996 5.0L Rover V8's were available with power ranging up to 340bhp with over 350lbft of torque.
This combination of good looks, high performance and practicality made the Chimaera TVR's biggest seller to date.
