The 155mph Espada claimed to be the world's fastest four seater at it's launch in 1968. Styled by Gandini at Bertone, the Espada was based on the striking Marzal prototype of 1966. It featured a near horizontal tailgate with a unique vertical glass panel at the rear - said to improve rear visibility!
A revamped Series II arrived in 1970, followed by the Series III in 1972 with a revised interior and power up to 365bhp. Just 1200 examples of this 4 seater Lamborghini were produced during it's near 10 year production run.
