Profile |
|
The Impreza WRX may have questionable looks and be heavier than its predecessor but performance is just as strong as before and now in a more civilised package. Power remains at 261bhp in the UK (276bhp in Japan), so top speed and acceleration are on a par with the outgoing model, namely 150mph all out with a 0-60mph sprint under 5 seconds.
It may not have the appeal of the equally powerful and better looking P1, but at under £30k it is without doubt yet another supercar bargain from Subaru.
A facelifted version was introduced in 2002 to appease fans' complaints and get sales back on a par with the original model, with the additional option of a Prodrive approved 300bhp upgrade.
