The stunning Vanquish brings modern technology and space age materials to the hand built craftsmanship of Aston Martin. The Ian Callum design takes styling cues from classic Aston's such as the DB5 and DB7 but combines them with carbon fibre body panels and an aluminium chassis plus the latest electronic wizardry. Computers automatically control the throttle, headlights and even windscreen wipers while the gearchange can be changed between F1 style sequential paddle shift or fully automatic changing at the touch of a button.

James Bond's company car is certainly no lightweight tipping the scales at over 1700kg, but thanks to a 460bhp V12 performance is superb with a 10sec 0-100mph and near 200mph top speed.

2004 saw a mild revamp with firmer suspension and bigger brakes.
