Profile |
|
The highly rated 996 GT3 takes the best parts of the 996 and adds the sporting feel many thought went missing when Porsche discontinued the superb 993. Capacity is up to 3.6 litres and power increases by 60bhp over the standard Carrera to give exceptional performance.
However, the GT3 is no stripped out lightweight like the previous generation RS, instead it relies on superb suspension and handling to set records like a sub 8 minute lap of the famous Nurburgring. Visually the 996 is similar to its standard stablemate but benefits from a ground hugging aerokit and bi-plane rear spoiler for added downforce.
