The S-Type R has become the new performance flagship to head Jaguar's assault on the German dominated super saloon market.
The supercharged V8 at the heart of the S-Type is a development of the unit currently found in the XJR, but with power now up to a healthy 400bhp. Handling has been improved by the latest versions of Jaguar's CATS damping system and DSC stability control, plus sporting Brembo brakes are now fitted as standard. Automatic transmission is still the chosen format but now comes with 6 gears and an adaptive control system that 'learns' your driving style.
Body styling changes are subtle but along with the larger 18 inch alloys, give the S-Type R a more aggressive stance.
