Profile |
|
The 575 Maranello offers even more performance and addresses most of the minor criticisms of the outgoing 550. The new 5.75 litre engine now outputs a mighty 515bhp and coupled with a reduction in kerb weight, finally punches the 575 through the 200mph barrier.
Handling on the 575M has attracted a lot of criticism. In standard form the suspension has too much travel and bounce, only the fitting of the optional 'Fiorano' handling pack gives the flagship Ferrari the ride it deserves. Transmission is now via a superfast 6-speed sequential gearbox, although purists can gain comfort in the fact that a manual option is available.
