Intended as a race car, but perfectly road legal, the stunning Aston Martin DB4GT Zagato set new benchmarks for power and performance in the early 1960's. Built in response to customer requests following their 1959 Le Mans win, Aston Martin began their ongoing relationship with Italian stylists Zagato in creating a new smoother body for the already stylish DB4GT. Power was increased to a hefty 314bhp - almost unheard of at the time. Coupled with a svelte 1200kg kerb weight, the GT possessed exceptional speed and acceleration.
Only 19 examples of this rare supercar were ever made, out of only 94 DB4GTs in total. With mint examples now fetching as much as £10 million, the significance and desirability of the Zagato remains timeless.
