Geneva 2003 sees the launch of a new, harder edged incarnation of the Ferrari 360, the race derived Challenge Stradale.
Clearly inspired by the Challenge racers, the Stradale features a stripped out interior with racing seats, carbon doors and F40 style plexi-glass windows. The subsequent weight loss (110Kg) and equally welcome power gain (20bhp) give the 360 the boost it needs in a bid to see off competition from the forthcoming Lamborghini Gallardo and Porsche GT3. Formula One development also plays it's part, accounting for the superb carbon/ceramic brakes and aerodynamic enhancements that give a 50% increase in downforce.
For track day enthusiasts, the Stradale's £30k premium over the 360 Modena will probably be well worth it!
