Profile |

The GT3 RS is Porsche's answer to the current crop of high performance track biased coupes, most notably in the shape of Ferrari's Challenge Stradale. An extension of the universally admired 996 GT3, the RS has been pared down to save weight, although not to the degree of it's predecessors. Performance is of course superb (100mph arrives from rest in well under 10 seconds) but where the RS really excels is in it's handling.
The RS will be built in small numbers aimed at a hard core of Porsche enthusiasts with a track day bias. £84,000 may sound like a lot of money but considering the cost of significantly more expensive rivals from Ferrari and Lamborghini, the RS could prove to be a true performance bargain.
