First shown at the 2003 Detroit auto show, the 16 harps back to Cadillac's glory days of luxurious, outlandish limos, honouring the original V-16 of the 1930s.
Power is courtesy of GM's humungous 13.6 litre V16, driving the rear wheels through a 4-speed auto transmission. A stunning 1000 bhp and 1000 lbft from a naturally aspirated engine are the headline figures.
The batmobile-esque design housed many distinctive features, such as the dual side-hinged bonnet, four wheel steering and outlandish 24 inch alloys. The exquisite interior was a testament to Cadillacs luxury heritage from the past, with it's crystal carved logo and Bvlgari clock.
Limited production was once considered, but sadly never came to pass.
