Profile |

At just $25,000 the fifth generation 300bhp Ford Mustang must represent the best value new supercar available today. However, low cost also means low options. Essentials such as ABS and traction control are options plus the rear 'Live axle' arrangement is out of the ark compared to most modern sportscars. Nevertheless you do get a thumping 300bhp V8 and a 0-60mph sprint of just 5.2 seconds, along with an uprated body shell and drive by wire throttle.
The 2004 model is the nearest in concept to the legendary Mustang of the 1960's but don't hold your breath if you live in the UK. The Mustang will only be available as an import!
