Profile |
|
BMW tuning division Alpina have taken the 'humble' E65 745i and transformed it into a 500bhp super cruiser, finally a match for Mercedes' AMG fettled supercars.
Ultra low profile tyres are spray painted on to the enormous 21 inch alloys to give the B7 impressively stable handling. However, at the end of the day it can't hide its near two ton weight when it comes to the twisty bits. A 6-speed auto is provided for relaxing progress but with a selectable sport mode if you feel the need.
The B7 is not cheap at £76000, but offers a hardened more purposeful alternative to the questionable lines of the BMW 7-series, and don't forget the 500bhp V8 !
