Supercar newcomers 9FF will go down in history for producing the car that finally toppled the McLaren F1 from it's perch as the world's fastest car. Late 2004 saw the ballistic 833bhp V400 peak at 241mph, eclipsing the F1 by just 1mph. It should be notes though, that the Dauer 962 is capable of 10mph more but some say that is not a true road car - well it did win at Le Mans!
9FF take the mechanicals of a Porsche GT2 and couple them to the bodywork of a GT3 (which is narrower and therefore more suitable to very high speeds). Weight is saved through the use of a carbon fibre roof, bonnet and door panels, endowing the 1300kg V400 with a crushing 651 bhp/ton power to weight ratio.
