Profile |
|
The 240R represents the ultimate incarnation of the track day favourite Exige and becomes the fastest accelerating road car Lotus have yet produced. Lotus' Sport Division take the standard Series 2 Exige and bolt a supercharger onto the Toyota 1.8 liberating an extra 50bhp. Twin oil coolers are added along with fully adjustable dampers for serious track work. There are some concessions to luxury though, in the form of bespoke two-tone leather seats and air conditioning.
The 240R isn't cheap at £44k but offers fantastic trackday fun and is even faster than the figures suggest. Production is limited to just 50 examples, available in any colour you like, as long as it's Yellow or Black!
